Cover Love ~ Chainbreaker

Tara Sim’s Timekeeper trilogy once again features in my Cover Lover series, this time with the second instalment Chainbreaker. I mean Tara has clearly been blessed by the cover gods.

*sobs* Its just so beautiful!

There has been a slight design change with the paperback of Timekeeper also getting a new cover. Every single one of these covers, new and old, are simply stunning. I cannot wait for the release of Chainbreaker on Jan 2nd 2018.

The shattered glass. The font. The surrounding design *heart eyes*

Clock mechanic Danny Hart knows he’s being watched. But by whom, or what, remains a mystery. To make matters worse, clock towers have begun falling in India, though time hasn’t Stopped yet. He’d hoped after reuniting with his father and exploring his relationship with Colton, he’d have some time to settle into his new life. Instead, he’s asked to investigate the attacks.

After inspecting some of the fallen Indian towers, he realizes the British occupation may be sparking more than just attacks. And as Danny and Colton unravel more secrets about their past, they find themselves on a dark and dangerous path–one from which they may never return.

Cover Love ~ Tyler Johnson Was Here

So on September 11, Moneyish exclusively revealed the cover for Tyler Johnson Was Here by Jay Coles and oh my gods I am in love *heart eyes*

*sobs* It’s so beautiful!

When Marvin Johnson’s twin, Tyler, goes to a party, Marvin decides to tag along to keep an eye on his brother. But what starts as harmless fun turns into a shooting, followed by a police raid.

The next day, Tyler has gone missing, and it’s up to Marvin to find him. But when Tyler is found dead, a video leaked online tells an even more chilling story: Tyler has been shot and killed by a police officer. Terrified as his mother unravels and mourning a brother who is now a hashtag, Marvin must learn what justice and freedom really mean.

The original reveal and interview can be found: here where they also reveal the cover for Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes. Not only is the cover beautiful but the story is an important one.

Cover Love ~ Iron Cast

Next up in my cover love series is Iron Cast by Destiny Soria. After all one cannot celebrate beautiful covers without Iron Cast on the list.

In 1919, Ada Navarra—the intrepid daughter of immigrants—and Corinne Wells—a spunky, devil-may-care heiress—make an unlikely pair. But at the Cast Iron nightclub in Boston, anything and everything is possible. At night, on stage together, the two best friends, whose “afflicted” blood gives them the ability to create illusions through art, weave magic under the employ of Johnny Dervish, the club’s owner and a notorious gangster. By day, Ada and Corinne use these same skills to con the city’s elite in an attempt to keep the club afloat.

When a “job” goes awry and Ada is imprisoned, she realizes they’re on the precipice of danger. Only Corinne—her partner in crime—can break her out of Haversham Asylum. But once Ada is out, they face betrayal at every turn. Continue reading “Cover Love ~ Iron Cast”
